STATEMENT: A PROJECTION-MAPPED RETAIL PROTOTYPE
Interactive, customized shopping experience
I created Statement as a way to bring, in a small footprint, interactivity and emotional connection between consumers and brand. Shoppers can pick their favorite finish from their personal devices and get a 5 second intro of sounds and video, thus making them more likely to enter the store and purchase the item. It’s always about story. In this case: what’s the story you want to project yourself into?
While most of the projects I worked on while at RTT were very collaborative, this is one was mostly a solo effort due to budget and team constraints, but our soft goods modeler did a killer job!
Role: creative direction, real-time 3D creation, programming, set design and set building
Shot with an iPhone… in 2013… with no tripod. I’ve learned a lot since.
Making of
Planning the space and the flow of the exhibit.
We printed vinyl stickers to add materials to bottom portion of the buildout.
The stickers turned out great in combination with a more traditional patina and weathering tricks.
Faux-finishing the laser-cut store sign. I travelled to our headquarters with it in my suitcase…
Giving feedback to our 3D modeler
